Learning Through Studio
Architectural Design Education at Eskişehir Technical University
lab e approaches architectural design studios at Eskişehir Technical University as more than educational settings. They are environments where research, experimentation, and collective production come together through an open culture of design.
The projects developed within the studios investigate the relationship between context, users, space, and experience. Each project contributes to a growing archive of architectural exploration while reflecting a shared culture of learning, collaboration, and creative practice.
Reading the Context
Resilient Culture and Art Focuses · Remzi Oğuz Arık Neighborhood, Ankara
This studio approaches Remzi Oğuz Arık Neighborhood in Ankara not simply as a project site, but as a dynamic urban context where everyday life, public interaction, and cultural production intersect. Architecture is understood as a research-driven practice that reveals existing spatial potentials while supporting public life and collective engagement.
The design process is shaped through site observations, contextual analysis, and user-oriented research. Students explore architecture not merely as the production of buildings, but as a spatial tool that enables artistic production, public interaction, and social resilience.
